In a surprise move, French president Emmanuel Macron called midterm parliamentary election. Why It Happened? The move comes after President Macron suffered a crushing defeat from Marine Le Pen’s far right National Rally in the European parliamentary elections. As per projections, Marine Le Pen secured 32% support, while Macron's Renaissance party lagged at 15%.
