Weather will once again play a crucial role as India, led by Rohit Sharma, prepares to face Canada, led by Saad Bin Zafar, in their final group match of the T20 World Cup on Saturday. India has secured their spot in the Super Eight stage with three consecutive wins.
Should the weather cooperate, India will be looking for their star batsman, Virat Kohli, to regain his form after a series of poor performances in New York. Kohli entered the T20 World Cup on the heels of an impressive showing in the IPL, where he scored over 700 runs at a strike-rate of over 150 for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
As the tournament moves into the Super Eight stage in the West Indies, India may consider bringing in Kuldeep Yadav to bolster their bowling attack. Ravindra Jadeja has struggled to make an impact with both bat and ball, making him the most likely candidate to be replaced if the team decides to introduce a wrist spinner.
India has participated in eight T20Is in Florida, securing five victories, suffering two defeats, and experiencing one no result. Rohit Sharma stands out as the top run-scorer for the team at this venue, amassing 196 runs at an impressive average of 49 and a striking rate of 153.12, including two half-centuries.
In contrast, Virat Kohli has only managed to score 63 runs in the three innings he has played in Florida, with a highest score of 28.
